I’ve had the pleasure of working with Amelia Heggie of Denim Interiors several times as she has commissioned pieces for both her clients and her own home.
She recently got in touch regarding my Logan lamp with a mind to commissioning a new shade for her chrome, art deco style lamp base in her kitchen. It needed to work with her lovely star painting, Icelandic Poppies sofa fabric and the gorgeous eclectic collections she has. We agreed that the lime herringbone wool of Logan was perfect, being bold enough to stand up to the rest of the interior without dominating it, but we changed the shape and dimension to that of my lamp Bartley, preferring a flat bottomed frame that gives the shade a colourblock feel when framed with dark trims.
Amelia said of the work:
“You have an amazing eye. Thank you for turning this brief in to a reality”.
Amelia’s lovely home -including this commission – was featured in Living Etc. You can take a tour here.
