Many moons ago, long before I’d ever thought about lampshade making and when I realised I was stuck in a job I despised, a very good friend of mine bought me an excellent book called ‘How to have kick ass ideas’. Reading the book was a bit of a revelation and was a catalyst in me changing my career direction.
So imagine by delight when the author of said book got in touch to commission a shade. I was delighted to help such inspiring people with their interiors requests! They were looking for a striking pendant shade to hang in their Moroccan inspired snug.
Anna and Chris sent me several photos of their snug complete with cosy low level seating and lots of kelim cushions in warm tones. I in turn sourced some lovely fabrics that would work with what they already have and sent over some swatches for them to look at in their home.
We chose a beautiful vintage charcoal wool and striking ikat fabric lining with trims to match their existing blinds.
